All I have to do is to send e-mails from dimwizard@live.com for breast cancer; expressitinblog@live.com for aids; and blogsforacause@live.com for multiple sclerosis. In fact, each time I use Windows Live Hotmail, Microsoft shares a portion of the program's advertising revenue with an organizations of my choice from a selction of some of the world's most effective organizations dedicated to social causes. Onset of a Diagnosis
Andrea B'Galaris
May 2008

It was January 2003. My daughter eye had been bothering her. I was worried because she has been complaining that she hasn't been able to see out of her right eye. Actually, I was more afraid than worried! She thinks it's an eyestrain. I was thinking it something more serious but I was hoping it was not a tumor or it was not cancer. I was very afraid, truly afraid! She could not see out of one eye--something was very wrong. I was trying to be optimistic yet I was experiencing too many mixed emotions. If it was something as serious as I thought, what was I going to do?

She open up with this information at a New Year Eve Party held at my brother-in-law's house. My mind went numb with shock! I showed very little reaction. This was certainly a way to get someone's attention! I know I did say something but I can't remember what I told her. That Tuesday, we went to the doctor and she was admitted to the hospital. If it something very serious, what would I do? I didn't want to lose my daughter. Would I be able to provide my daughter with positive reinforcement? Would I be able to move on? She was diagnosed with optic nueritis. Six months later I would find out that this was an onset of Mutiple Sclerosis.
